5,000 people who live within a mile of the city. Louisa is the county seat of
Lawrence County.

First US 23 Country Music Highway

“Yard Sale”

The first “US 23 Country Music Highway Yard Sale” is scheduled for May 29, 30, and 31, 2008.

US 23 is only one of three National Scenic By-Ways in Kentucky. Along this north – south interstate route are two State Resort Parks, one Interstate Resort Park, three State Parks and lakes, the largest elk herd east of the Mississippi River, the deepest canyon south of Niagara, and the hometowns of people just itchin’ to share their hospitality and yard sale treasures with visitors and travelers.

Also, mark your calendars for the City Wide Yard Sale on June 7, 2008, in downtown Louisa.
